MC2 Auto-Configuration System Cabin Management Module (CMM) Information.

Our Cabin Management Module (CMM) is the heart of Mid Continent Controls' Auto-Configuration System. All source and control equipment is linked to the CMM through its "auto-detect" ports, which allow for "hot-swapping" and quick installation of cabin management and entertainment system components. All of the systems' serial activity and fault detection can be visually monitored via the LED panels for easy detection of source or control equipment failure. The systems' diagnostics program, running on a laptop computer, may be used to troubleshoot and adjust all functions of the CMM system and features a "user-friendly" graphic interface which allows the installer to quickly adjust the entire system for the best listening acoustics within the cabin of any aircraft.

The systems' serial communications cables can be debugged using the loop-back test function of the diagnostics program and the CMM may also be linked through the same program and internet direct to Mid Continent Controls for technical assistance. There are 28 cabin video outputs with crosspoints and each output features a 28V protected ON/OFF control signal for cabin monitor power with all 28V outputs and momentary ground outputs being designed for safety. Other available functions include seat selection of all audio/video sources, seat and cabin volume, bass and treble controls, attendant call signal and multi-zone control VIP for all available functions. As with all components of our Auto-Configuration System, the CMM is designed for minimum current consumption, weight and control cabling.
