MC2 Cabin AC Power System Information.

Mid Continent Controls offers a Cabin AC Power System that is specifically designed to operate within the aircraft environment. Current is supplied to the system by the aircrafts' AC power inverter, with our power controller providing 110/220V current limitations to the AC outlet via a circuit breaker. An AC plug must first be inserted into the outlet before the remote turn-on signal of the power controller is energized, thus permitting the unit to turn on and allow AC current to be available. When an AC plug is absent or has been removed from the outlet after use, the controller's remote turn-on signal terminates power to the device.

For additional protection, the dust cover of the outlet closes to prohibit accidental insertion of foreign objects. In the event of a ground fault at the AC outlet, our Ground Fault Interrupter is designed to instantly stop the flow of electricity, thus preventing serious injury. A ground fault situation occurs when electrical current flows through a path other than its intended normal and safe route. The Cabin AC Power System from Mid Continent Controls may be installed with optional GFIs, power controllers and AC outlets to accommodate either 110VAC or 220VAC depending on aircraft requirements.
