Mid Continent Controls offers a "Ground Fault Interrupter" that is specifically designed for the aircraft environment. Powered by the aircrafts' AC power inverter, our GFI is designed to quickly stop the flow of electricity in the event of a ground fault, thus preventing serious injury. The Mid Continent Controls GFI utilizes remote turn-on input circuits which allow the unit to be remotely enabled and disabled. This signal will tell the GFI to turn on and allow AC to be available at the outputs. Additional output signals may be used to turn on an AC inverter.
The Mid Continent Controls GFI also features a "TEST" button to induce a ground fault for testing purposes, however, this test circuitry operates independent from the fault sensing circuit. Our GFI is housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure, featuring status LEDs that indicate any fault conditions which may be present.
